We changed our plans specifically so that we could return to this beautiful area of Italy. Since we only had 1 night, we decided to stay in the main town of Bellagio in an apartment we found on AirBnb. It was such a cute apartment perched on top of a cliff! We quickly checked-in and headed straight to Bellagio.
We wandered the beautiful cobblestone alleys and found a nice quaint place for dinner. All of the other restaurants were packed and charged service charges, but we decided to give a small family owned restaurant a go. There was only 1 other couple present which made us a bit worried about our restaurant choice. As the restaurant was empty, we were able to sit outside in 1 of 2 tables they provided. Little did we know that this would be one of the best meals we would have in Italy. All of the pastas were homemade and the vegetables from their families garden. The dessert was even made by the waitresses Mother that morning. We had a wonderful 3-course meal all made with fresh ingredients and was full of flavour. This was a nice way to end our time in Italy as we knew it would be a while until we came back.
The rest of the night we wandered through the gorgeous town and took heaps of photos.
The next morning on our drive out of Lake Como, we stopped through Bellagio as our waitress the night before mentioned that their weekly market would take place. We spent around an hour wandering through the stalls and enjoyed our last bit of Italy. We were on our way back to Croatia for Anita’s (Michael’s cousins) wedding!
